RUTHCon II: April Planning Update

The biggest logistical issue we’re facing for next year is how to add more table space, & no, I am not adding an extension to my house! Unless you guys wanna pay for it, in which case…

Seriously, we should be able to get at least a few more tables in by rearranging and removing furniture, but it won’t be a huge number of extra seats. Which leads to the second issue we’re facing – how many people is too many for our home? We’ll be ensuring everyone who attended this year is included, but if there’s a lot of additional interest then we might have to start looking into alternative locations. And that not only gets expensive, but it also leads to issues of available hours and alcohol prohibitions, so I’d rather keep things small for now. Who knows what the future will hold, but rest assured, we’re doing our best to make sure no gaming buddy gets left behind, just know that pre-registering will likely be a must for this year so we can limit the number of badges being claimed.

So if you were at the event last year, look for an email in the nearish future with registration info once I pin down numbers and deadlines. And don’t worry, if you’re not sure then just register, it’s not like there’s a cost to attend and I won’t be mad if you reserve a spot you can’t use … unless your name is Kit or Eric (either of them), then I’ll absolutely be mad.
